I’m a realist oil painter who primarily paints still life’s that has a dramatic interplay of light and shadow. Capturing light and creating drama is an exciting challenge that drives me through each painting.

My work has been recognized with the following awards:

• Artwork to be published in American Artist’s magazine, July/August issue, 2010

• Artwork published in Best of America Oil Artists book (Vol II) by Kennedy Publishing 

• Featured guest on “Artist to Artist”, an art show hosted by Enid Silverman, Comcast Chicago, 2008

• Best of Show for a painting I donated for Art Against Aids, sponsored by Weiss Memorial Hospital

• Painting selected as a permanent piece in the American Sports Art Museum, Daphne, Alabama as a result of participating in the art competition for the 2004 summer Olympics held in Greece.

• Commissioned to create wine labels for a selection of wines sold at restaurants in Chicago.

Received my B.F.A. at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and continued my studies abroad as a graduate student through Northern Illinois University at the Neo-Medici Atelier in the southwest of France.  Other schools attended include: American Academy of Art, School of Representational Art and Loyola University.
